November 20th, 2010 | WCN Social Networking Event - "After-Shopping Event at CupCakes Boutique Cafe"

The perfect pick-you-up after shopping and an excellent networking opportunity – delicious cupcakes and great company!

In September this year WCN member Renate Gruber opened her bakery & shop CupCakes in the 8th district (www.cupcakes-wien.at or follow CupCakes Wien on facebook). It has since been acclaimed in many magazines and newspapers as Austria’s “Magnolia Bakery” which Sex and the City fans will recognize as the hip New York bakery that featured prominently in the series.

Renate is a creative and inspirational entrepreneur. Her business ventures include running her own graphic design business for many years and more recently creating the Kekswerkstatt selling beautifully packaged exclusive designer biscuits made from the finest and purest ingredients. Combining her passion for baking and design with her business acumen Renate has now fulfilled her dream of opening her own cupcake business in Vienna. Along with a huge variety of delicious cupcakes she also offers a small shop where you buy trays, cups or cupcake stands and little gifts. All this in a charming setting that makes you want to linger longer than necessary for just one cupcake.

For the WCN networking event, she is generously offering to open on a Saturday evening where she is normally closed to allow you to enjoy her cupcakes while getting to know other WCN ladies. As a ‘special gift’ to the WCN members attending Renate will be giving away a cupcake to take home.

We very much look forward to meeting you on the 20th November and having the chance to get to know you better.

Valerie Crawford Pfannhauser I joined the WCN in 2002 and have never looked back. The WCN gives me the chance to meet fascinating women, further my self-development and be inspired and entertained by all that is on offer. I enjoyed editing the WCN newsletter for 6 years and am now happy to be the Social Event Co-ordinator with Andrea. We look forward to meeting you at future events.

Andrea Farthofer As a former WCN Webmaster and Social Event Coordinator I have enjoyed meeting ladies from all over the world ever since I joined the WCN back in 2003. After my sabbatical in 2008 I am now looking forward to getting involved again in the Steering Committee and organising events for you together with Valerie.
